Guilty

The most irritating thing one witness in recent times on the roads (espcl. in India) is the Slow jammed traffic, Pollution and ofcourse RASH DRIVING. The first two are still fine, what i can't stand is the speed and negligance of traffic rules that might effect a life. Every time i pray to God, i do pray that i never witness a accident scene, i just don't have the courage to face the scene. I have lost two loved ones to such rash driving, the loss is ours. But i wonder most of the times, the driver after the accident just flees the place, but do they ever feel Guilty conscious about it? May be a few of them, but majority of them wouldn't even feel sorry for the victim, they just want to escape from the hands of law, thats their only concern. If they felt guilty conscious in the first place, they wouldn't drive rashly. These drivers just for their trill, kill innocent people with their driving. And when they walk around freely, it is us (the victims family) who suffers t...

A Tale of two friends

Image
Recently I was staying at mom's friends place. She told me an incident about another common friend of theirs which left me thinking sometimes people just don't like to use their brain, they keep it locked in locker. So what happened was, mom's friend was staying in Delhi and the common friend too was staying in the neighborhood. So when friend had to undergo some serious tumor operation, she had asked the whether the common friend would be there around for a few days, till she gets fine. But the common friend gave some excuses and moved off. Finally after the operation, she was taken care off by some nurse. What shocked the friend more was when she had asked her friend to stay, the other friend after giving excuses, just blankly said, "Oh! I won't be around during your tumor surgery, but surely I will help you, when you undergo a heart surgery." Now I was wondering would anyone in their senses talk such nonsense that too, to a friend. Well, for surely she lear...

A Father's Dream

He will have to learn, I know, that all men are not just, all men are not true. But teach him also that for every scoundrel there is a hero; that for every selfish Politician, there is a dedicated leader… Teach him for every enemy there is a friend, Steer him away from envy, if you can, teach him the secret of quiet laughter. Let him learn early that the bullies are the easiest to lick… Teach him, if you can, the wonder of books… But also give him quiet time to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and the flowers on a green hillside. In the school teach him it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat… Teach him to have faith in his own ideas, even if everyone tells him they are wrong… Teach him to be gentle with gentle people, and tough with the tough. Try to give my son the strength not to follow the crowd when everyone is getting on the band wagon… Teach him to listen to all men… but teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth, and take o...

Life's Perspective

Image
Yesterday, as i was focussing some objects for a photograph in the macro mode of the camera, i learnt that the camera and our life both represent the same view, towards an object. As i was focussing something that was too close, the objects in the distance gets blurred and as we focus the distant object, the object close by gets blurred. Doesn't the same perspective apply for our life. When we focus on the nearby little goals of life, the bigger goals gets distracted, blurred and we get lost in the circle of smaller goals of life. In the same way when we focus on a distant bigger, main goal, all the smaller goals are by passed, they seem nothing in front of the main distant bigger goal of life we really dream of achieving. Now its in our hands, how we handle it. But sometimes, time too plays a bigger role. At times not everything works according to what we plan. Still we could focus on the bigger picture of life . Apply the macro mode to your life too.

True Colors

Image
How good the world looks when its sunny, bright, beautiful, full of colors. But as darkness sets in, slowly the colors fade and everything is seen as dark, black, just a silhouette. Aren't people too similar to the nature, When we are with friends, in someone's company or at work place we behave so differently and when we are at home we behave so differently although the circumstances might be the same, but our reactions are so different. Why is it that to a total stranger we act so polite and be rude with our loved ones, while the later is important in our life. Still we ignore all this, human nature, is it?

Remembering God

Image
How often do we remember God, is it when we are in some trouble only do we remember God the most. I do remember god daily, but don’t pray too often, I hope god, understands that. When I’m in troubles too it’s the same, I find it too selfish calling God then, but surely deep down I know god surely will help me out. Does only praying makes one rise in the eyes of God, No… if we do some good deed to others, be helpful, be polite surely that’s better than praying. Isn’t it?

Unleash Your Imagination

Image
Well, tried these photos with dim lights, no smoke involved. What i like in these pictures are each and every picture is viewed differently by every person, what I see through my eyes might not be the same the person sitting next to me feels, its like the childhood game we used to play ‘CLOUD WATCHING’. C’mon let me what I imagine of these four pictures. The first picture I imagine two people dancing, almost like the vintage ball dances we usually see in some English movies or somewhat like the Irish ‘Riverdance’. I just couldn’t imagine anything else. My imagination was freezed there :-) The next picture the red lights, I always imagine that to a biker (that too a lady) going just vrooooom…. Saying a ‘hi!’ to me. The next one always reminds me of the famous scene of the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ where Patrick Swayze lifts Jennifer Grey like she’s flying above the river. (also shown in "I've Had the Time of My Life" song). And the final one looks like a question mark to me.
